When they set out to honor Queen Elizabeth II, the Herend Manufactory knew from the start that they wanted to include the Queen’s favorite flower which is the lily of the valley. However, the pattern needed to be something unique befitting the woman it was meant to celebrate. The result is a tea set painted in a variation on the Humboldt pattern which was one of Herend’s superlative patterns in the 19th century. While still available today, it is rarely produced and therefore exactly the type of extraordinary pattern needed to honor such an exceptional woman.
