Herend was greatly honored this week to present Dr. Jane Goodall with its special "Three Wise Monkeys" figurine as a gift of gratitude for her significant work establishing innovative conservation and development programs in Africa. While in the Western world 'hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil' references an unwillingness to accept reality, in the Buddhist faith it symbolizes the rejection of all things evil. Herend sees some of both interpretations wrapped into the Jane Goodall Institute's fine work to protect chimpanzees and their habitats.
