Amber Palace is available in a rich black and amber design and complemented by a white bone china interpretation called Pearl Palace. The pattern is rooted in the Neo Classical Art and Architecture of the 18th and 19th Century. The designs used across the ware are deliberately dramatic and juxtapose decorative combinations to create exuberant patterns that are both expressive and witty. The collection has been designed to create an air of intrigue; each piece is completely unique and individual designs within the range feature hidden decorations adding to the eclectic and exuberant nature of such a unique range. Amber Palace and Pearl Palace are among some of the most accomplished tableware patterns ever produced by Royal Crown Derby. The pieces have been heavily embellished by applying raised paste underneath gold and platinum to enhance the detail of the decorative motifs and relief. The process then saw Royal Crown Derby set the raised paste against dramatic black and amber to produce Amber Palace and the translucent whiteness of fine bone china to create Pearl Palace.
